Hello there people its been a while, but I'm back now. Today I am going to tell you about my time spent with the under 16 Team Manitoba team. How we got picked for this team was there was the top 40 players out of Manitoba got selected to go to this evaluation camp in Winnipeg. I did not have to go to this camp because I was in Finland at the time and they said they had seen me play lots before anyways. But after that camp which was in the summer they watched us throughout our season and then made there picks from there. They made there selections in early November and fortunately I was selected to be on that team. The tournament was in late November early December in Red Deer, Alberta. It was such a great experience and we had such a fun time as we were winning too. We went into that tournament being the only team to have players on it that were not drafted into the WHL, we played team Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC. We were expected to go 0-3 in that tournament and we sure turned heads. We ended up going 3-1 losing in the finals to team Alberta. We should of won that game as well, we were up 4-2 with 1:42 left in the third period and ended up losing 6-4, it was the worst feeling I have felt in hockey. Even though we lost in the finals we sure did turn some heads and prove all the scouts and important people wrong. This experience was a lot of fun because we had nothing to lose because we were the huge under dogs going into the tournament.
